sugarrush-superscatter.com sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics platform, no advertising tag, no heatmap script and no tracking pixel on any page. That is why you have not been shown a consent banner — under the UK’s Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary, and we do not use any.
What a cookie is
A small text file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise the browser later. Cookies make logins persist and shopping baskets survive a page reload; they are also the backbone of cross-site advertising, which is the use most people object to.
What this site uses instead
Nothing that persists. Pages are static and identical for every visitor, so there is nothing to remember between visits. Specifically, we do not use:
- analytics cookies — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo;
- advertising or retargeting cookies — no Meta Pixel, no ad network tags;
- preference cookies — the site has no settings to store;
- session cookies — there is no account and no session to maintain.
Campaign parameters are not cookies
If you arrived through a tracked link, the address bar may show extra parameters after a question mark. When you follow an outbound link to an operator, those parameters are carried through to the destination so the referral is attributed correctly. That happens in the URL itself: nothing is written to your browser, nothing persists after you close the tab, and we do not store the values.
Where third-party cookies can still appear
Only as a result of something you do. Following a link to a casino takes you onto that operator’s domain, where its own cookies and its own cookie policy apply — typically a session cookie for your login and, depending on the operator, analytics and marketing cookies covered by the consent banner it will show you. That is entirely outside our control and outside this policy.
The same applies to any support organisation we link to, such as GamCare, GambleAware or GAMSTOP, each of which operates its own site under its own terms.
Your server logs, briefly
Visiting any website causes the server to record the request. Our hosting provider logs the IP address, timestamp, page requested, referrer and browser user-agent, and deletes those logs after a maximum of 90 days. This is not a cookie, is not linked to any identity, and is covered in the privacy policy.
Controlling cookies generally
Although there is nothing to block here, you may want to control cookies elsewhere. Every major browser lets you view and delete stored cookies, block third-party cookies by default, and open a private window that discards everything on close. The settings live under Privacy or Site Settings in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Blocking cookies entirely will not affect this site; it may well break logins at a casino.
If this ever changes
Should we introduce analytics or any other non-essential technology, a consent banner will be shown before it is enabled, you will be able to decline without losing access to any content, and this page will be updated with the detail. We will not enable anything retrospectively.
